Are there common tips to achieve note investing success faster? As I have continued to gain experience in real estate note investing business, I have always wondered what advice those veteran note investors would give themselves if they were starting out as fresh real estate note investors. So I decided to reach out to note investors around the country and ask them, collect their responses and provide the top responses to the NoteVestment Community. The question I asked was:
If You Started Over Today as a New Note Investor What Advice Would you Give Yourself to Help You Achieve Success Faster?
I reached out to note investors that had been in the business anywhere from 5 years to over 30 years because I wanted to get good potential variation in the responses based on age and relative experience. I found that many responses were quite similar, or had minor variations, so I decided to present the top 5 responses on how to achieve note investing success faster.

I know that new note investors will directly benefit from reading the advice that you all offered.
Top 5 Responses on How to Achieve Note Investing Success Faster:
#1. Note investing is a “learning by doing” business, so to get started, buy a couple of notes and get your feet wet.
#2. Note investing is not a get rich quick game, enjoy the journey and get very rich gradually.
#3. Note investing is a team game, and you need to have others involved if you want to ramp up faster. Otherwise, you limit yourself by yourself.
#4. Build systems along the way and keep the wheels turning. Stopping the business or trying to pause it for life events is not only difficult, it’s the only time I’ve lost money.
#5. Have a mentor or get some education before getting into note investing, and join note investing communities to grow and learn.
